We went up to Roy and the Hill Air Force Base on Saturday with Gram and Gramps. The planes were enormous! It was fun seeing the history. Gram worked on the base during the war so we got to hear some of her stories. One of the planes was named the "Audrey" (grams name) and it was piloted by a G. Peterson (gramps is R. Glen Peterson...) weird. It was a lot of walking and we were tired out when we got done. We headed over to the Burger Bar. We saw it on one of our favorite shows on the Food Network called Dinners, Drive Ins, and Dives. You order your food from a window and eat in your car...or as you can see from the picture we brought chairs and tv trays! My burger was at least as big as my head and the onion rings were so delicious. There was way to much food but it was so good and we ate nearly all of it!

This post brought back LOTS of memories. As soon as I saw your pictures of the planes I wondered if you at Hill, and then when I saw your grandpa sitting in the seat, I thought, "That's gotta be Hill!" My dad works there. Then when you mentioned Burger Bar!! Loved that place, and it is dang good. So fun!
Next time remember to pull the ejection seat release while Joel is still in the chair....
That is so cool. My husband loves planes, anything to do with them, and so on. What a neat experience. That is awesome that you got to hear stories from your grandpa.
