Not fisher of men but fishers of fish

For my birthday Brooks got me a new fly rod and reel.
Yes that is a Sage Reel for those of you that don't speak fly fishing that means super nice!
Saturday we went and tried them out.




To say that is was cold would not express the bitterness of it. It was 20 degrees when we got up and headed for the lake, and as you can see that is ice on my tube. On my fish finder it shows the water temp being 53 so it was alot warmer in the water then it was out in the air.
None the less it was a beautiful morning. A light fog was on the water and the sunrise was awesome!

The fishing was not that good, I got 2 and that was it for the whole group for that morning. Mom, Dad and Brooks were able to catch one each the evening before.

It was a great day and I am so glad that we went even if it was cold.
